Bedonna Smith

Bedonna Smith is Executive Producer of Activism at Anonymous Content. 

In this role, Bedonna serves as a connector with the company’s association with Emerson Collective, a social change organization. 

Anonymous Content’s Activism teamworks with producers, clients and collaborators to cultivate film, television, digital, unscripted and branded content to further storytelling opportunities with potential for culture change. Key to this work is close collaboration with activists and advocates across a wide range of issue areas. 

Smith was an Executive Producer of XQ Super School Live, a multi-network telecast focused on public high school education in America; and has been a producer of all Stand Up To Cancer simulcast events since the organization's inception in 2008.  To date, Stand Up To Cancer has mobilized hundreds of millions of dollars in its model for collaborative cancer research and is a driving force behind numerous breakthroughs in new cancer therapies and targets.

In partnership with Families Belong Together and Jennifer Sofio Hall of Rock Paper Scissors, Smith co-led the creation of Coloring Without Borders, a collaborative coloring book designed to further empathy and dialogue around the family separation crisis at the U.S. border.  Coloring Without Borders features contributions from more than 80 illustrators and artists from around the world, with a dedication and foreword from Alfonso Cuarón and Ai-jen Poo. 

Smith led Anonymous Content’s participation as a flagship member of the I Am A Voter coalition, creating a national campaign exhibited in AMC Theatres, to drive Get Out The Vote efforts for the 2018 midterm elections, as well as content creation for Swing Left featuring Samuel L. Jackson.  Smith produced Mexico Rises for Mexico Earthquake Relief with Alfonso Cuarón in partnership with Participant Media.  

Smith has held creative and production roles on several Academy Awards telecasts, and previously served as Director of Emerging Media at Anonymous Content.  Smith began her career at Wieden + Kennedy.
