Who is this festival for?
Are you a fan of radio shows like World Cafe and This American Life? Do you tune in each morning to NPR Morning Edition for thought-provoking stories and profiles? Or feel energized by TED talks and topics? Then Connect Beyond Festival is the perfect event for YOU! This 3-day event is focused on exploring stories and topics from creators of all backgrounds and experiences. You’ll experience firsthand thought-provoking events featuring panels, speakings, performances, and film screenings hosted by influencers, creators, and activists.
Where do I pick up my pass?
Ticket pick up information to be announced soon.
Will tickets be available for purchase at the venues?
Single-day as well as three-day passes will be available for purchase at each of the five official venues hosting Connect Beyond Festival during event hours.
Can I come-and-go from the events?
Absolutely! We encourage you to drop in on as many panels and performances as you like.
Can I bring my kids?
We love children, but most of the topics and events may be too mature for little ears (and attention spans). However, we do encourage you to bring the teen in your life who is inspired by current events, music, film, and storytelling. We do not offer discounted tickets.

What venues are holding the events?
There are three official venues hosting Connect Beyond Festival events this year. Those include: The Orange Peel, Diana Wortham Theatre, and Fine Arts Theatre.
Is there a way that I can submit my Tiny Desk application to Bob Boilen in person?
Ummm... no. Tiny Desk has an application process and we strongly encourage you to apply within NPR’s application requirements.
Will there be books and author merchandise available for purchase?
Yes! More information regarding book placements will be announced closer to the festival.
Will there be parking for the event?
Downtown Asheville offers an assortment of garage and street parking. A few garages that are centrally located and easy to access include: Rankin Avenue Garage (68 Rankin Avenue); Biltmore Avenue Parking Garage (60 S. Lexington Avenue); and Wall Street Garage (45 Wall Street).
