MILFORD GRAVES FULL MANTIS (2018)

MILFORD GRAVES FULL MANTIS premiered at SXSW in 2018 and was officially selected for  the Copenhagen International Documentary Festival, the Sarasota International Film Festival, and the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Director Jake Meginsky is a New Music USA award-winner and a Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellow.

MILFORD GRAVES FULL MANTIS is the first ever feature-length portrait of renowned percussionist Milford Graves, exploring his kaleidoscopic creativity and relentless curiosity. Graves is a founding pioneer of avant-garde jazz, and he remains one of the most influential living figures in the evolution of the form.
