Navigating THRU follows the journey of several women as they hike 2,200 miles along the Appalachian Trail. Off the trail, society has high expectations for physical beauty for women, while having low expectations for physical capability. However, on the trail, these expectations are inverted. THRU explores the everyday struggles any thru-hiker faces as well as what it means to be a woman both on, and off, the trail.
