Technology has afforded us the ability to connect people and mobilize more quickly than ever before. While more and more social and political movements have gone viral in a matter of hours or days, not all have had the level of success in achieving goals or maintaining longevity. This will be a discussion about some of the movements that have been successful and some that have not and ways to start your own revolution online.

Jessica Villatoro is a student at The University of North Carolina at Asheville and is one the organizers for March for Our Lives here in Asheville and Students Demand Action.
Cofounder and Lead instructor of JB Media Institute and President of Creative Original, Inc Sarah Benoit has worked in the web design, SEO, and social media fields since 2003 and has been teaching classes on related subjects since 2006.
Shaye Moessner is the Director of Markets & Strategies for SameSide, the platform for activism through music, arts, and culture.
Goodstein is best known for his work with unique political campaigns that blend art, music, and culture. Having co-founded Punkvoter.com, Rock Against Bush, Artists for Obama, Artists for Bernie, DailyAction, CreativeMajority, and LadyPartsJusice; he has truly built impactful programs that have changed the world in which we live.
Joseph Hudak is a senior editor at Rolling Stone, overseeing the magazine's Nashville office and the Rolling Stone Country website, which covers the country and Americana genres.
