Calling all filmmakers! Outside of the industry hubs of LA and NYC, it can be difficult for budding filmmakers to learn about the business of making films. Connect Beyond Festival aims to bring industry resources -- like this group of Producers -- to our local community. In this open-ended Q&A discussion, you’ll have a chance to ask those burning questions about the film and television industry from a panel of knowledgeable and experienced experts, who all have strong track records in Producing narrative features, documentary, and television.

Ellen’s passion for the medium of film is the result of both her personal journey and her professional career as a film development and acquisitions executive and producer. For more than 20 years, Ellen has worked at screening, programming, acquiring, developing and producing films.
Alex Melnyk is the President of Storyworks, a social impact creative agency helping brands grow purpose, profit and impact.
Having relocated to southern California in 2011, Sol, enjoys life with his young family while working to create content that inspires positive thought and action. Sol currently has several projects in various stages of production, including: The New Armenian, Land of Dreams, The Reunited States & Legend of the Seven.
After graduating from USC's Peter Stark Producing Program, Jason Lust went on to found the successful management/production company Circle Of Confusion know for such groundbreaking work as The Matrix and The Walking Dead.
Berger’s executive producing credits include the award-winning documentary Crumb, the Wilco documentary I Am Trying to Break Your Heart and the Levon Helm documentary Ain’t In It For My Health. Berger and Yerxa were also co-executive producers on the current HBO series “The Leftovers”.
