Dayna Reggero is the award-winning director of the Climate Listening Project. Dayna works creatively to cultivate and share hopeful conversations on climate and community through video, film, connections, and collaborations. She has traveled across the United States and around the world, exploring the climate connections that are important to each of us including family, food, faith, nature, business, and community. Utilizing her twenty years of experience, as well as her masters of applied science and bachelors of communications degrees, Dayna weaves together the latest science with inspiring stories from around the globe. Dayna began the Climate Listening Project while working with the Sierra Club in collaboration with the Years of Living Dangerously docu-series and after 2013 was the wettest, rainiest year ever on record in her community. Climate Listening Project collaborators have included Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), National Audubon Society, and Moms Clean Air Force, to name a few. Climate Listening Project stories continue to be used again and again, reaching more than 10 million people through hundreds of websites, social media pages and events, from Woman's Day Magazine, Salon, ABC, NPR, iHeartRadio, Univision, Yahoo, Governing Magazine, and The Atlantic to Jane Goodall Institute, Yale Climate Connections, Union of Concerned Scientists, Stockholm Resilience Center, International Paris Climate Talks, Thrive Global, and Wake Forest University, among others. She was recognized as an Outstanding Conservationist at the Roosevelt-Ashe Conservation Awards, Best Short Documentary at the Belize International Film Festival, Featured Filmmaker at the Wild & Scenic Film Festival, Best Environmental Film Finalist at the Boone Film Festival, and Official Selection at the Los Angeles Women's International Film Festival, and has been honored with PR Power Award, Addy Awards, Emerging Leader of the Year and Community Leader of the Year awards. Climate Listening Project
The Climate Listening Project is a collaborative effort by Dayna Reggero to connect and share hopeful conversations on climate and community by working creatively to cultivate and share unique stories through video, film, connections, and collaborations. Since 2014, Dayna has traveled across the United States and around the world to explore the connections that are important to each of us: family, faith, business, community; weaving together the latest science with inspiring stories from around the globe. The Climate Listening Project collaborates with local, national, and international organizations, individuals and businesses to listen to the stories that need to be heard. Collaborators include Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), National Audubon Society, and Moms Clean Air Force, to name a few. Advisers include top scientists and thought leaders. Plus, they've hired more than 30 diverse videographers, photographers, and creatives. The Climate Listening Project has reached more than 10 million people through press, social media and events. Their collaborative videos and films continue to be used again and again to start or accelerate hopeful climate conversations. The “Faith” vignettes have been shared at 4,000 churches across America and the “Cultivating Resilience” food and farming videos were screened at the International Paris Climate Talks. Their first feature documentary "The Wood Thrush Connection" was honored as the Best Short Documentary Winner at the 2017 Belize International Film Festival.
